I am the Webelos leader in our ward and about a month ago we took them on a hike up Waterfall Canyon. It was a pretty hike and for the most part it was shaded (not that that kept it from being hot, but it kept it not as hot). It is a hike that requires climbing up and over some pretty big boulders and it wasn't a cake hike for sure. Anyway, when we made it to the waterfall it was cool and the water got you wet without getting super close to it and it made the hike worth it. They boys had a blast and were soaked when we sat down to eat lunch. It was a great hike and made us really appreciate nature!
